Haris started his career by playing tape ball cricket in the streets of Rawalpindi. He soon becomes one of the most popular tape ball bowlers in Pakistan. His speed was unmatchable. His Journey into hardball cricket began with giving the trails in Lahore Qalandars Player Development Program held in Gujranwala.
During the trial, Haris impressed everyone with his pace, consistently bowling at a speed of above 145 km/hr.
Then Lahore Qalander selected him and Lahore Qalanders Coach Aqib Javed started working on improving his skills and his diet.
Haris Rauf’s journey in cricket began with his association with the Lahore Qalandars in 2017. In 2018, Haris signed with the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League (BBL), replacing the injured Dale Steyn.
His performance in BBL shocked everyone. In his debut season, he displayed his skills by taking an impressive 20 wickets. Haris took five wickets in his second match. He also took a hat trick in that season and bowled the fastest delivery of 151.3km/h.
In the 2019 PSL, Haris played very well for Lahore Qalanders taking important wickets in crucial time. His standout performance was 4 wickets for just 23 runs against Karachi Kings.
On 24 January 2020, Haris made his T20 debut for Pakistan while playing against Bangladesh.
