Ihsanullah Family
Ihsanullah, born on October 11, 2002, hails from Arkot village in Swat Valley’s Matta Tehsil. He belongs to a poor family, and his father, a farmer, initially opposed his cricket career, preferring him to work in Saudi Arabia. Ihsanullah’s family faced difficulties when they lost their home during the 2022 floods. Additionally, he has a 10-year-old brother who aspires to become a cricketer, following in his elder brother’s footsteps.
Even though his dad wasn’t sure about it, Ihsanullah really loves playing cricket. He believes he can make a good career out of it. Ihsanullah began his cricket journey in 2017 by playing for FATA Under-16. In 2018, he participated in the PCB’s U-16 Pentangular T20 Tournament.
Ihsanullah PSL Career
In January 2022, he made his Twenty20 debut for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). His standout performance in the 2023 PSL, including a record-breaking spell of 5-12, earned him praise as one of the fastest bowlers in PSL history.
In March 2023, after the 2023 PSL ended, Ihsanullah won two big awards: Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler in HBL PSL 8. He did an amazing job, taking 22 wickets with an economy rate of 7.59
Ihsanullah Career Debut
In December 2022, Ihsanullah, along with young cricketers Saim Ayub and Haseebullah Khan, was chosen for the national squad in the second Test match against New Zealand in Karachi.
Ihsanullah made his T20I debut against Afghanistan on March 24, 2023, taking a wicket with his first delivery. In April 2023, he debuted in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against New Zealand.
