Her father, Mani CK, works as a daily wage laborer, and her mother, Vasantha, manages their home. She also has a younger sister named Mimitha.
From a young age, Minnu had a passion for cricket. At just 10 years old, she would join boys in her village to play cricket. However, her family wasn’t too supportive of her playing cricket professionally. It was her school’s physical education teacher, Elsamma, who noticed her talent. At the age of 16, she started playing for Kerala’s senior team. One of her standout performances was in 2018 when she helped the Kerala U-23 women’s team win the national T20 championship, scoring 188 runs and taking 11 wickets.
Her talent didn’t go unnoticed. In 2019, she represented India Blue in the Under-23 One Day Challenger Trophy. The same year, she got called up for the India A team’s tour to Bangladesh. And in a significant moment for her career, in February 2023, she was selected by Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League auction.
