Inzamam-ul-Haq, often referred to simply as Inzi, was born on March 3, 1970, in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. He hails from a family with a rich religious and historical background. Inzamam-ul-Haq was born into a Syed Sunni Muslim family.

Inzamam’s family, particularly his grandfather, Pir Zia-ul-Haq, was highly respected for their religious involvement and connection to Sufism. During the partition, his family migrated from the city of Hansi in Punjab Province, which is now located in Haryana, India to Multan in Pakistan.

Cricket Career Journey

Inzamam started playing cricket for Multan in 1985. He later played for different teams in Pakistan and even joined Yorkshire County Cricket Club in England.

He became well-known during the 1992 Cricket World Cup when he played a crucial role alongside Wasim Akram, & Waqar Younis, in Pakistan’s success. He was a big hitter and helped Pakistan win important matches.

Inzamam was also a great batsman in Test cricket. He scored many centuries and became Pakistan’s top scorer in this format.
