Shoaib Akhtar was born on August 13, 1975, in a small town called Morgah in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. He was born into a Punjabi Gujjar family. His father, Mohammad Akhtar, was a hardworking man who worked as a night watchman at a petrol station owned by the Attock oil refinery
He hails from a place with not-so-good economic conditions. In fact, his family once faced a difficult situation when their roof collapsed due to poor living conditions.
Shoaib had a tough childhood, but he didn’t let that stop him from pursuing his passion for cricket. He used to bowl with rocks and pebbles near his home, which helped him build the muscles and skills needed for fast bowling.
