He started his cricket journey when he was just 16 years old and played for Lahore Whites. Wahab’s cricket career was guided by his coach and mentor, Aaqib Javed. He has played for various teams, including Pakistan, Kent, Ruhuna Royals, and others. One of his most remarkable moments in cricket was when he took 5 wickets for 46 runs in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup semi-final against India. In this match, Wahab made his debut under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi, replacing the injured Shoaib Akhtar.
